Frequently Asked Questions

How does Help-U-Sell's Set Fee or Flat Fee work?

We believe that the traditional 6 percent commission is an outdated practice and has no correlation to the cost of performing a real estate transaction.

We perform all the same services as traditional full-service real estate companies, and, oftentimes, more for a low set fee or a flat fee.

To us, full-service real estate includes the entire home selling process: from pricing and staging to marketing and open houses, to representation and negotiation, to coordinating inspections, and finally, transaction processing.

Are Help-U-Sell Real Estate agents licensed?

Yes. All Help-U-Sell Brokers and Agents are licensed, members of their local MLS boards, and members of the National Association of Realtors®.

Do you also represent buyers?

Yes. Help-U-Sell® Real Estate is a full-service real estate organization representing both buyers and sellers.

We can help a buyer purchase any home for sale in the market and MLS, not just Help-U-Sell® Real Estate listings.

We take the time to learn what our buyers are looking for and represent their best interests throughout the home purchase process.

Will buyers’ agents boycott my listing?

No. Buyer brokers search many sources for their clients, and they understand the advantages of Help-U-Sell Real Estate. Our listings have been sold by every major real estate company and we have a long history of excellent relationships with our colleagues in the industry.

How long has Help-U-Sell Real Estate been in business?

We’ve been saving sellers money since 1976, when Don Taylor founded Help-U-Sell Real Estate as a consumer-centric alternative to traditional real estate brokerages that charge a percentage rather than a set fee to sell a house.

How do you market your listings?

Our listings are posted on our website and syndicated to the most popular real estate portals, including Realtor.com, Zillow, Trulia, and the local MLS.

Listings are also marketed through print advertisements and direct mail. Open houses are also held by the Help-U-Sell Real Estate agent.
